First of Its Kind Program In Advanced Manufacturing

The Integrated Machining Technology Program at the Gene Haas Center combines leading edge CNC machining and metrology technology with high performance manufacturing skills. The program, which is a partnership between the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research and Danville Community College, is a new paradigm in the preparation of students for the demands of advanced manufacturing companies. The result of this collaboration is an industry relevant, breakthrough, nationally prominent model for workforce training in high precision metal working.

Integrated Machining Technology (IMT)

The Integrated Machining Technology (IMT) Program at the Gene Haas Center is a unique program specifically designed to prepare students to succeed in a high performance precision machining flow cell environment, the first of its kind training program in the US. Students will develop the necessary skills to act as a high performance team member in an advanced precision manufacturing environment and cultivate the knowledge required of CNC machinists, CNC programmers, engineering technicians and future leaders. Precision Machining Technology (PMT)

The Precision Machining Technology (PMT) Program provides students with the training necessary to obtain high paying jobs in precision manufacturing. The program has graduated skilled machinists for over 80 years, acquiring an impressive job placement rate in this fast-growing field. Dimensional Inspection (Metrology)

DCC’s Dimensional Inspection (Metrology) program gives students the skills and training enabling them to pursue a career as a specialized quality inspector in a precision manufacturing or design environment. DCC is proud to be one of four teacher training and certificate centers in North America for CNC machining and related technologies. Our Haas Technical Education Center (HTEC) is dedicated to teacher training for high school and community college precision machining instructors, as well as leading manufacturers who want their employees to earn NIMS certification.
